In the NL3 hosting location, traffic to TOPdesk SaaS environments is inspected by an Intrusion Detection System (IDS), which is monitored 24/7 by the Security Operations Center at Fox-IT.

Last year we announced that we started creating a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system to monitor all hosting locations. This system is now live and monitors all servers in all TOPdesk SaaS hosting locations.

Potential issues detected by the SIEM are also monitored 24/7 by the Security Operations Center at Fox-IT. Since the SIEM monitors all servers and functions without access to customer data, the new system improves both the security and privacy of all TOPdesk SaaS customers.

With the SIEM now live in all hosting locations, the IDS in NL3 has become obsolete. On Saturday July 17th we'll start removing the IDS system from the NL3 hosting location to prevent obsolete software and hardware in our SaaS network. We don't expect this maintenance to affect the availability of your TOPdesk SaaS environment.
